In 2008 Ribbons for a Reason started making Donations from Awareness products that had been sold off our website Sparkle by Sammie. During that time we donated just over $200.00 to various Charitable Organizations that dealt with the meanings of our ribbons.
In 2009 our company focus changed and so did one of our policies. We now donate 20% from ever item to a Reason for that Ribbon color.
This past quarter (4/1/10 - 6/30/10) we were able to donate another $1163.05 to more great causes! So far we have been able to donate $4,364.87! This is because of our wonderful customers. We understand how hard things have been with the recently problems in the economy, and we realize how important it is for people to continue to get the awareness out for the causes they care about. So we are so happy to be able to provide you with something to get the awareness out, and also make donations that many would not otherwise be able to make.
Our donations are collected when orders are placed and set aside to the end of the quarter. At the end of the quarter, totals are summed up and if the ribbon color has collected more then $20.00 it is sent off to a Cause of that ribbon. If the amount is under the $20.00, it is set back aside until the end of the next quarter or until the $20.00 goal for that ribbon is met.
