American Latex Allergy Awareness...
A cause that is near and dear to my heart after I was diagnosed with a Latex Allergy in 2008. I continue to be amazed at how little is known about Latex Allergies. Many people believe this allergy is just about latex balloons or latex gloves. What so many do not know is that anything with natural rubber in it is a cause of worry and can cause very severe reactions. Besides the constant threat of rubber, people who have Latex Allergies have to be constantly aware of the foods they eat because there are so many cross reactive foods. I am proud to have worked with the American Latex Allergy Association to design our newest Ribbon, the Latex Allergy Ribbon.
